From our early days in 1996 as a small start-up business we have focused on pushing the boundaries of technology using digital video technology in conjunction with IP networking. Our very early ranges of the original OCTAR2000 product in the late 1990’s included many of the features necessary to provide a network digital CCTV recording system. From the core of OCTAR2000 spun out the OCTAR range of Compact, System and System Plus providing a consistent recording platform for all sizes of CCTV system easy linked together through our Video Management Software, CONTROL.
Shortly after 2001, we embarked on a development roadmap that incorporated multi-channel and single channel video servers, NVM-DX and NVM Solo. These video servers or encoders, as they are now more commonly referred, were used with OCTAR Net as a hybrid IP based recording system. The roadmap progressed with motion based compression technology incorporated within dedicated hardware resulting in our real-time recording system FASTAR shortly followed by VADER. The scale of storage required by real-time recording projects resulted in the development of our dedicated mass storage system RAID Array to provide a virtually unlimited period of retention for any requirement.
Through the evolution of our technology we have strived to meet, and exceed the expectations of our customers. The path so far has lead to the successful installation of over 196,400 channels of Visimetrics based recording solutions.
